Here at Owen James Events we are just starting our sustainability journey. Over the past year we have fully committed to making a change and reaching the goal of net zero by 2030!

Why Event Sustainability is important to us:

• Environmental Impact: Event sustainability is crucial as it helps to minimise the environmental footprint of events, reduce waste generation, energy consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions.
• Social Responsibility: Embracing event sustainability reflects our commitment to social responsibility. It ensures that our events are inclusive, safe, and accessible to all participants, while promoting diversity and equality.
• Education and Partnerships: We believe in the power of education and engagement to drive sustainable change. We will provide information and resources to event attendees, promoting sustainable practices and encouraging them to make conscious choices. By presenting ourselves as an industry leader and promoting ESG and sustainability topics of discussion at our events, we aim to inspire and empower individuals to take action towards a more sustainable lifestyle.
• Long-term Impact: By integrating sustainability into our events, we contribute to the larger goal of creating a more sustainable future. Our actions today can inspire others and drive lasting change, leaving a positive impact on the environment and society for generations to come.

At our events, we are reducing consumption and making smarter choices – literally, by replacing paper with technology solutions such as our event app and switching single-use plastic for recyclable alternatives. Post-pandemic we are continuing to run hybrid events to reduce travel for delegates joining us from all over the world, and on the days we do head into the office we are considering the way we travel, consume and manage waste.

We are just getting started, and we pledge to hold ourselves accountable to the standards and goals set below, to encourage others to undertake similar actions, and to help the finance industry as a whole meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2050.

We are CSR-A Accredited!

We are proud to have achieved a silver CSR Accreditation as a testament to our sustainability efforts at Owen James, and will be working towards gold over the next few years!
